Training for teachers "Speech and Voice"

 

In November 2020, a group of teachers from the Jõhvi Russian Basic School underwent a training organized by Tallinn University on the topic “Speech and Voice”.

During the classes, the teachers learned about how the speech apparatus is arranged and what factors affect it negatively. In addition, under the guidance of teacher Toomas Lõhmuste, the participants performed practical exercises to help relieve unnecessary stress from the vocal cords and "prepare" them for work. In the second part of the training, the teachers got acquainted with exercises to develop articulation and improve diction. The classes ended with a public presentation of each participant with a short excerpt from the text.

Thanks to the talent of the teacher and actor Toomas Lõhmuste, the training took place in a very friendly atmosphere accompanied by light humor. Each teacher received personalized feedback and advice on how to retain the voice and use it effectively.
