Final event of the "Enterprising Teacher" project.

Pedagogical conference: international project "Entrepreneurial teacher"

Festival of project ideas - in this format, a pedagogical conference was held in the Jõhvi Russian basic school, where the results of the "Enterprising Teacher" international project born within the walls of this school (received financial support from the European Union program - Erasmus +), aimed at developing cooperation in the field of education, were summed up and professional training of teachers.

Among the participants were teachers from four basic schools of the city of Kohtla-Järve - Maleva, Slaavi, Tammiku, and Ahtme basic schools took part.

The conference was opened by the director of the Jõhvi Russian basic school Irina Shulgina.

Members of the project team (5 teachers and project manager Galina Safronova), who visited Florence within the framework of this project, shared their experience and ideas. During the 14 days spent there, they were able to get acquainted with the project management system, methods of inclusive education, new modern Internet platforms and other methods of innovative teaching.

In particular, Galina Safronova noted that in 2021, the Jõhvi Russian Basic School became a participant in 5 international projects: “Enterprising Teacher”, “We Do STEAM Together”, “DI.STAN.CE”, e-Twinning-projects - “Youth has the Midas touch! " and "Jumper's Day".

- The international e-Twinning project “Youth has the Midas touch!”, In which 18 schools from Turkey, Romania, France and Estonia participated, received Quality Labels from the Estonian and European e-Twinning Center, - Galina Safronova emphasized in her speech. - This is a large project. Within its framework, we collaborated in all areas, participated in all events: online meetings, conferences, discussions (including on electronic security), forums, human rights quizzes, online school presentations, the Technological Literacy campaign, and more - in “Poem of Love”, created a logo, worked in international groups on the themes of the European Union “Health” and “Energy”. Also, our students played the "Dangerous Game", completed work for International Women's Day on March 8 - "Women's Rights", participated in the international group "Forest" - "Environmental Literacy", created the "Midas Students Declaration", presentations and e-books. In Estonia, our project was recognized as the best among two other Estonian schools and received the maximum number of points. An international project team has drawn up an application and is applying for a European prize for an e-Twinning project in 2022.
In the DI.S.T.AN.C.E project, the main goal is to improve the quality of online education and create innovative digital content in the field of natural sciences. Participation in this project allowed 6 teachers of our school to attend working meetings in Spain, Seville (July) and Italy, Rome (November).

Inna Rubtsova, a teacher of natural history and geography, said that she is currently working on two projects. Project-excursion "The uniqueness of the natural world of the Toila-Oru park and garden ensemble", which, in fact, is a logical continuation of the "Toila - the pearl of Estonia" project, which became the winner of the competition "Ida-Virumaa Enterprise 2020" in the nomination "Enterprising activities of  Youth 2020 of the year ”(organized by the Ida-Viru Entrepreneurship Union), the work on which continues today, under the guidance of teacher Lyudmila Zagorulko. “This project,” as Inna Rubtsova said, “interested me because I already had a little experience in conducting thematic lessons on natural history and geography in picturesque places in Estonia, but I didn’t want to stop there - there was a desire to diversify the educational process, to make it more interesting and more creative. " A creative group of teachers and students of the 9 "C" grade worked on the project "Virtual excursion to Lermontov places". And here the task of the teacher-geographer was to draw up a map of the travels of M.Y.Lermontov, together with the students, to collect information about the picturesque places of central Russia, about the mysterious world of the Majestic Caucasus.

The floor was also given to the teacher of the Estonian language, Inna Gorbunova. She has extensive experience in project activities. Particularly noteworthy are the integrated lessons that her eighth-graders gave to elementary school students as part of the Entrepreneurial Teacher project on the theme “A fairy tale is a storehouse of wisdom”. The kids got acquainted with fairy-tale characters, solved puzzles with them, played outdoor games ... Inna Gorbunova not only provided her students with an opportunity to prove themselves as a primary school teacher, but invited them to prepare and conduct a lesson for future teachers - students of Narva College: eighth-graders talked about the history of Narva, introduced students to interesting legends, recited poems dedicated to this city, prepared small theatrical performances, and held a quiz. Both students and teachers remembered the integrated online lesson "Pushkin's connection with Estonia", where Inna Gorbunova used the Quizziz Internet platform, which allowed not only explaining the new material but also receiving feedback within a few minutes and analyzing the survey results.

As it was announced at the conference, the intellectual and cognitive games “What? Where? When? ”, The preparation and implementation of which since 2007 has been the responsibility of the permanent leader Tatiana Laada. She uses all kinds of innovative teaching methods. Almost every year, the school's teams participate in regional, republican, international games and championships, constantly winning prizes.

As Galina Safronova emphasized: “We are also pleased that our youngest students are also showing interest in project activities. Primary school teachers conduct interesting research with their children on a variety of topics. For example, Hiie Taklai and her second graders are enthusiastically working on the project "Discover the Water". Within the framework of this project, the children, together with the teacher, studied the properties of water, conducted the experiment "Water Cycle in Plants", as well as conversations related to this topic, and also took place an interesting, informative excursion "Water bodies of Estonia".

In general, 16 projects were presented at the conference, which were developed and implemented as part of the "Enterprising Teacher" project. But in fact, there are much more of them. The e-Twinning project (his parent is physical education teacher Viktor Predbannikov) was very interesting, in which eight educational institutions of Estonia, Turkey, Spain took part and for which they received e-Twinning Quality Label from the Estonian National Agency and the European Quality Label. During the work on the project, many different exciting events were held: Internet security lessons, quizzes, master classes, competitions, logo creation. An e-book for the project was created.

At the end of the conference, the results and conclusions were sounded as a generalization. The modern school lives and develops in a dynamically changing world, which places enormous demands on all teachers. It is here and now that educational tasks need to be solved: to improve the quality of knowledge and the effectiveness of both contact and online education, which makes it possible to intensify the activities of students - to reveal and develop their creative abilities, to form an enterprising life position "I want, I can, I do!" The teachers of our school do everything to ensure that our students become successful, competitive and able to realize themselves in our difficult times so that they can achieve the highest professionalism in various fields. After all, the motto of our school is: "The stars are lit here!"
